NOTICE TO INSTALLER:

Kaleidoscape Carpet TileTM is manufactured with StayTacTM, which gives it a high-friction component so that traditional wet adhesives are NOT required. When the tiles are shipped, they are gathered back-to-back to preserve StayTacTM's tacky characteristic. Do not peel carpet pairs apart until ready to install.

Surface Preparation:

This product works best on a smooth surface. Whether your floor is concrete, stone, tile or wood, make sure it is clean, dry and free of debris.

Installation:

Using the arrows on the back of each tile as a guide, assemble tiles with rotations according to your specifications. Are you following a pattern, or doing a random assembly? You can even free-form install as you go.

You can revise the overall design by simply rotating tiles as needed. Recall that NO ADHESIVES ARE REQUIRED for this product.

Tools Required:

If it is necessary to cut tiles, use a utility knive with a relatively new blade and a straight edge to assure clean lines. Follow safety guidelines as prescribed by your cutting device.

Modular Carpet Design:

This section is for individuals installing Wall 2 Wall Carpet Tiles. (The Modular Area Rug assembles directly on your finished floor whether wood, stone or tile.)

Kaleidoscape Carpet TileTM is a design-oriented Class-I commercial-grade modular carpet system.

Begin by removing the existing finished flooring. Beneath it, you will find the subfloor - which may be concrete or plywood.

Surface preparation: Because this modular carpet system installs directly on your subfloor, make sure it is level, clean and free of debris.

Remember, with StayTacTM built-in non-slip padding, no adhesives or tape are required.

When you are ready to install, read the information in left column.

Assemble the carpet tiles one by one. Simple cutting with a utility knife may be necessary where the tiles meet the walls. See Product Information for details.

You, as Owner and Designer of your space, will choose from a variety of methods for creating floor cover solutions.

Below are some different installation options, represented in commercial environments.

Designer options:

1. Choose a pattern in the PatternPalette found under the color options of each tile and specify it for the space you're designing.

Sample Patterns: Click image to enlarge

2. Choose a Random Assembly and use arbitrary rotations during installation. Because TractionBacTM allows the tiles to be removed and rotated, any desired customization after assembly is simple.

3. Create spatial hierarchy by designing large Compositions in which recognizable geometries become focal points, axial attributes, or allow for way-finding characteristics.

4. Create a focal point to define spatial hierarchy and surround it with a Random Assembly.
